Young Tribal Voices: Radio Theater in Pakistan

Educational Arts Resource Services, Inc., a company founded and run by Hal Ryder (Faculty, Theater Department), was invited to do a project in Peshawar, Pakistan this past summer, entitled Young Tribal Voices.  Professor Ryder and Cornish alumna and Theater Department Faculty, Kerry Skalsky (Theater ’89), spent five weeks working with students from the University of Peshawar and Kohat to create and present radio plays dealing with social issues, intended for broadcast into the tribal areas in NW Pakistan.

Design Faculty Honored with Prestigious Award

The Northern Pacific Chapter of the International Interior Design Association was pleased to hold the Seattle debut of the highly acclaimed IIDA Leaders Breakfast, Tuesday, October 7th at the Seattle Sheraton Hotel. This event honored one of our very own for his contributions to design and to our community, David Kutsunai, Associate IIDA, Principal and Director of Design in the Seattle office of IA Interior Architects.

Master Teacher Andrew Wade Visits Cornish Theatre Department

Internationally renowned Voice and Text Coach Andrew Wade held a workshop with Cornish Theatre Department’s junior class on September 30, 2008.  He led them on a detailed exploration of Shakespeare’s language in the play Othello.

Cornish Celebrates an Evening of the Arts

This annual event celebrates the next generation of talented, emerging artists. On Sunday, October 26, guests will be treated to a wonderful evening highlighting the unique and critical role that Cornish plays in the community. Performances will feature Cornish students, faculty and alumni, with all net proceeds to benefit the Cornish Scholarship Fund.
